While 91% of power and utilities executives and 85% of oil, gas, and chemicals executives acknowledge that reskilling employees is key to long-term success, only 26% and 29%, respectively, are actively retraining their workforce.

🔹 Growing Dependence on External Talent
To bridge skill gaps, 88% of power and utilities executives and 81% of oil, gas, and chemicals executives plan to increase their reliance on vendors and contractors.

🔹 Rising Workforce Agility
The energy workforce is becoming more adaptable, with 86% of power and utilities executives and 81% of oil, gas, and chemicals executives confident in their teams’ ability to respond to evolving business needs—a significant jump from 57% in 2021 and 53% in 2020.
